A presentation focusing on the change that occurs when a large system is rolled out in an organization. Some of the issues addressed:

  • Understanding why user resistance is necessary and desirable
  • What are the underlying reasons for why users resist?
  • What is true about how employees deal with change?
  • What are myths?
  • How can management and employees identify and remove the obstacles to change?

About the Speaker:

Tim Klaus is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and has a PhD in Business Administration from the University of South Florida with a concentration in Management Information Systems. He received his MBA and Masters Degree in Computer Science both from Illinois State University, and his Bachelors Degrees in International Business and Organizational Leadership with a minor in Japanese studies. He has conducted seminars on Entrepreneurship, Business Plan Development, and Business Growth Strategies and has consulted for several organizations.
Beyond his academic background, Tim has industry experience in project management and business consulting experience. His focus has been to the fields of
